The Supremacy Of Christ

Christ is supreme over everything that moves, lives or breathes. Supremacy means the highest authority and the greatest power. God has proved that He is supreme over every god that is in the world.

In Psalm 110:1, God tells Jesus to 'sit at His right hand.' God is going to make Jesus' enemies, the gods of this age, His footstool. In other words, they will be judged and put under God's feet to be trampled on. All the other gods that are in the world claim to be supreme when Jesus is the only One to sit at God's right hand. That makes the gods' claims to be absolutely false and they proclaim a 'different gospel.' (Galatians 1:8)

Matthew 3:17 talks about when God spoke out of heaven saying Jesus was His beloved Son in whom He was well pleased. He didn't say a single thing about Joseph Smith or Mohammed or any of the small g gods. Jesus is God's true Son.

Mark 2:28 says that Jesus is also Lord of the sabbath. In other words He is saying that He is the 'I am' of the Old Testament. (Exodus 3:14) He repeats that to the Pharisees and the [Sad-you-sees]. They accused Jesus of blasphemy which finally led to them crucifying Him.

Acts 4:12 says that there is no salvation in any other. There isn't any other name under heaven by which we must be saved. They are talking about Jesus whose name people either despise and reject or embrace with wholeheartedness. Jesus' name is the one and only one we can be saved by.

Romans 14:8 says that for us living or dying, it is to the Lord. Christ shows and tells us that 'the death of the righteous is to God's glory'. He uses it to point and bring unbelievers to a saving knowledge of Him.

In Acts 10:36b it says that Jesus Christ is Lord of all; even when we don't or won't believe in Him. He showed that to the Egyptians and every other nation.

Matthew 1:21 says that Jesus will save His people, the elect, from their sins. He shows Himself above any other god by taking our sins and the perfect wrath of God upon Himself. Our sins have completely separated us from God; but He died for our sins and completely paid the price. Then He 'rose on the third day according to what He said' and ascended on high.

Colossians 1:17 says that He, Christ, is before all things and everything consists in Him. Any 'god' that says they are equal to or better than Christ is a liar.

In conclusion, Christ's supremacy was, is, and will be established forever because He shows in the Bible that He is the only One true God.
